Toondoo, Pixton, Comicbook, and Tellagami
In this assignment I started with Toondoo, it was very
simple to use it had many variety to use in characters and serene. I had to email it to myself although it did
allow for me to post it on Facebook and Twitter I first wanted to have it for
myself. I could also upgrade but with a fee, but I liked what they already had
to offer for free so I am satisfied. The students will like using it because it
was fun and it can be made to be funny if they like. Here is the Toondoo I made.
Another one I tried was Pixton and this one was easy too. I
think this one was super easy and I do believe the student can use it and enjoy
the different character they can use. I could Twitter, Facebook, Google+,
Pinterest and YouTube if I wanted too. To upgrade I would have to pay a fee but
I liked what I have for free. I would like to use it in my library to remind
the students to be careful with the books and to return the books as soon as
they finish using it. Here is my comic from Pixton.
Next one was Makebeliefscomix.com, it was free and easy to
use. It can show you how to use it. It gave a great example for teachers
on what to write about. I could download
it from I Tunes. Now this one was very easy to use. Not complicated at all. It
did allow me to put up on YouTube. So I did and here you can see my comic strip. The
students can use it and even though it does not have much variety but its free
and what it has you can do a lot with it. You can upgrade with a small fee too
but try it for free and see if that’s what you like.
Tellagami is my last one I tried, now this one I had to get
it on my IPad and paid 4.99. It was simple and what I had to do is use an
Avatar and I could change hair, skin, eyes, colors, clothes, voice of a male or
female and background. I typed what I wanted to say but it also gave me the
option to record my voice. The students will like this besides being easy to
use it can be fun and instrumental for Language arts, Math, Social science, and
other subjects. I made one and hope you will like it. I made it to my book
trailer I did for YouTube. I asked the students to continue on the last book of
“A Voice in the Wind.” It will
be to continue on what the German Gladiator will do to find his freedom for the
Romans. I do believe you would like it for your students along with a QR code to take them to the assignment. Being creative can be fun for us too.
How I plan to use this well I looked in Pinterest for
ideas and found one on how use context clues. Another was for math, many funny stuff. I
found how to help develop literacy Skills. For the library I use one to
explain the Dewey system and another to remember to return a book on time. Also don’t forget
to take care of the book too. There is a limitless of ideas you can use this and if
you get very sure of yourself maybe you can create a video cartoon and post it on
YouTube.
