A information book for children who want to know where babies come from. It is illustrated with charts and colorful pictures about embryo development. It covers all the question a child might have and more about this sensitive topic of childbirth.
The story is simple.  A monkey telling the rabbit  what he is reading is a "book". The rabbit continues to ask in computer terms what the book can do but the monkey repeats "no, it's a book." The illustration helps tell the story in which each page you can visualize each sentence. It is a funny book that any one can understand even though  it has computer terminology.
A delightful pig. A strong character who wears everyone out even herself because she is full of life always moving and doing something new. She likes to try on everything in the closet before she walks out of her room. Something the adults will like about the book is that the author added some historical paintings that go appropriately in the storyline. This is a very beautiful black and white  illustrated book.

 It is a true Hispanic story. A cockroach ready for marriage and a wise woman with a secret to help her look at the true color of her suitors. When the lizard, pig, rooster have fail the test she comes across a reserved mouse and they fall in love. The illustration at the end of the story shows that the  two individuals' grandmothers were in control of the entire situation. Just a beautiful illustration that make this book a true treasure.

The theme is that of sacrifice for the good of all. The main character is face with a dilemma  to give up her most prize possession for the gods to give rain to the people. A lesson a child can find hard to do. With a sad begging and heart wrenching middle, the end is sure to bring a happy feeling when you see that it was worth it all.
